GET TO KNOW PAOLA VIGNOLA

I am Paola Vignola, Italian by birth based in Barcelona, with a multidisciplinary profile, whose creative activity includes painting, design, furniture restoration and artistic creation applied to space.
 

I moved to Barcelona when I was very young, a city where I have developed a large part of my career. I trained in Milan and Barcelona, and I have studies in economics, as well as training in fashion design. My artistic practice is characterized by a good imagination and why not say it - a good ability to combine color. For years I have dedicated myself to the restoration of furniture, transforming its color and appearance until it turns, in many cases, into small works of art. From this experience, I also began to create and renovate pictorial frames, updating old and nondescript pieces to fully integrate them into the visual language of his paintings.

My pictorial work is defined by a modern, decorative style with an innocent character, with an intention to bring color, freshness and energy to spaces. I avoid pigeonholing myself in a unique style, letting my imagination flow and I channel my creative energy into generating visual and emotional impact on the viewer.

Through my social networks, especially on Instagram @paolavignolaartista, and @restauraconpaola I share the processes of transformation and creation of my pieces, showing the dialogue between art, restoration and contemporary design. His works are designed to renovate interiors, such as homes, offices, shops and creative spaces. Currently, I continue with my artistic activity and reside in Barcelona, maintaining a free, vital and experimental approach to my work.
